I’ve done one of these before, but I’m almost certain I cheated a little. There were either answers that made no sense at all, or I was embarrassed to admit to some of the music on my iPod. This time, I’m gonna do it properly!
Here are 20 questions that I’m answering with Shuffle Play on my iPod. Hopefully some of them work well enough to be amusing. I’m going to put the title of the song first, then the artist, then the album/ single that it’s from. Continue reading “Shuffle Play Questions”
I’m gonna switch this up a bit. Instead of writing a post according to what was number 1 this time 10 years ago, I’m going to write a post every week (hopefully) based on a number 1 single from the past. This means more regular posts, as some singles stayed at the top spot for 9 weeks or more and it seems silly to wait.
I’ll be selective with this, and I’ll choose songs that I know. Even though I’m writing a story about me in relation to the title of the song, I find it a lot easier if I actually know the song. Continue reading “Don’t Stop Me Now”
The Number 1 song this time 10 years ago was Maneater by Nelly Furtado.
I remember when this song came out and I disliked it from the moment I heard it. I have no idea why though. Listening to it now, it’s really not that bad! Continue reading “Maneater”
The number 1 song this time 10 years ago was I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair) by Sandi Thom.
I remember this one too, and looking down the list of number one’s after this, there’s a few amazing songs coming up! Continue reading “I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair)”
The number 1 song this time 10 years ago was Crazy by Gnarls Barkley.
It’s been a while since I did this, so I’m going to start it up again.
Crazy: I remember this song and I absolutely loved it – still do! I think this might have been the point in my life when I started to appreciate music, and back then I was a little bit crazy. Not crazy in a psycho killer way, just not afraid to make a fool of myself. Continue reading “Crazy”
The number 1 song this time 10 years ago was Thunder in My Heart Again by Meck featuring Leo Sayer.
Again, this is another one that I’ve never listened to. I should probably start listening to music of the 2000’s. Continue reading “Thunder in My Heart Again”
The number 1 song this time 10 years ago was Nasty Girl by the The Notorious B.I.G.
This is another one that I’ve never heard before. At this point in my life, I think that I was still listening to Busted. Continue reading “Nasty Girl”
The number 1 song this time 10 years ago was When the Sun Goes Down by the Arctic Monkeys.
I can honestly say that I’ve never heard this song before. I’m not a fan of the Arctic Monkeys, but I may give this song a listen one day… Continue reading “When the Sun Goes Down”
The number 1 song this time 10 years ago was That’s My Goal by Shayne Ward.
That’s My Goal: My goal in life is to be successful in whatever I do. If you’re familiar with my blog then you will know about my book. I would love for that to be as successful as possible!
I recently updated the cover of ‘Reality is in a Dream’ and am re-publishing it with Createspace. I got the proof copy yesterday, so now all I have to do is read through it and make sure that everything is perfect!
So basically, being successful – That’s My Goal.
This whole writing stories about me was supposed to be regular every week or every time there was a new number 1 single.
Not only have I been ridiculously busy recently, the Number 1’s have been shocking!
Westlife – You Raise me Up. Although it is a good song, I have no idea what to write about.
Madonna – Hung Up. I don’t particularly like Madonna and that song is just.. No.
Pussycat Dolls – Stickwitu. I think the title says it all.
Nizlopi – JCB. All I can think of is Jamie Campbell Bower. I’m going to see him and his band on Friday. Maybe I’ll write a little something about that after Friday. Who knows.
Basically, this is an apology along with big excuses. I’ll try and update my blog better next year!
